Keymacro is a cross-platform utility that allows you to change keyboard shortcuts.
Keymacro allows you to use keyboard combinations for Windows, macOS, and Linux. To install Keymacro, click on the Windows Installer link, or double-click on the.exe file to install it. For Linux and macOS, open a terminal and execute the following command:
chmod +x keymacro-installer.bin
Execute this binary file to install it.
Input
Keymacro allows you to configure and use several key combinations at once. For instance, you can change the CTRL + T keyboard combination to "Open a new tab", or you can create macros to switch between several programs.
You can also edit a shortcut key, and assign multiple commands to a single key.
You can set a shortcut key to load a program, open a new file, paste a file, paste a file into a new tab, print a file, print a file into a new tab, etc.
Customization
Keymacro supports several customization options, such as saving custom macros and using the “Auto-launch Settings” feature.
When you save a macro, the next time you run it, Keymacro will ask you if you want to run it as a new shortcut, run it under a specified program, or add it to a custom keyboard combination.
You can also change the key combinations used by a macro, or the language used by the shortcuts. You can select between English, French, Spanish, German and Italian languages.
Options
There are three types of options: Global, Standard and Custom.
When you start, you can see a list of all macros available and how many macros you have saved so far.
You can also see shortcuts that you have defined for the "Global" option, which are used when you run the shortcut.
This is not the only option, however.
You can also have a macro with "Custom" shortcuts, and add custom shortcuts to the "Global" list.
Each time you run a macro, it will ask you whether to "Save" the shortcut, "Save As" the shortcut or "Continue" the shortcut.
You can also export and import shortcut collections.
System requirements
This application requires Microsoft Windows 7, 8 or 10.
In addition, you need to have a compatible keyboard.
